Well, pops says it all! And Doesn't dad know best? According to Archie Manning, father of Colt's QB, Peyton Manning, speaks out about the draft and the team for next year. Archie is a smart man when talking about sports, especially the NFL, and of course, talking about his son. Archie thinks that the Indianapolis Colt's would be making a mistake with draftin Luck and continuing on with playing Manning as the starting QB. He says that Luck is already "mature" enough to step right in and be the new team leader for any team he goes to Also, Archie says that Peyton and Andrew probably, in all honestly, not even want to play on the same team together, even though their friendship.
This topic is probably one of the biggest and most often heard about subject for all of Colt's fans. Archie threw out his opinions about Luck and his son playing on the same team for next year, and now here our mine. I think that the Colt's need to continue on with Manning and not forget about, oh yea, the only 4 time NFL MVP ever! Manning could be on the NFL MVP list for this years running becasue obviously he is the Colt's team, pride, and the fans joy! Yes, although he may not have as many years as Luck has in him, but we do know one thing, he is a solid QB who hardly has ever failed on the team. I say, keep Manning, and perhaps when Manning retires, their will be another all-star QB coming to town!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/wizards/nba-players-finally-get-back-to-work-a-month-after-season-scheduled-opener/2011/12/01/gIQAafBjHO_story.html
It's back! Finally! The topic in which I chose to discuss is about the NBA season. The NBA was delayed to play games this year due to financial matters. The players were being denied there pay because of the money problems the NBA owners are suffering from. The NBA commitee has not been thrilled with there debt problems for the last few years, and finally, this year was the year in which the players experienced those problems. Some of the players experienced being jobless for awhile. The NBA commitee and the players discussed multiple times about pay cuts and when or if the season would ever begin this year. Finally, mark the date, December 15th is the day when all teams will be re-joining and start their team practices.
I am very glad that the season has finally started back up! Although the talented players may be getting overpaid, they are still very enjoyable to watch! Also, many cities' downtown businesses have been down in business due to the first month being cancled. Indiana downtown businesses are thrilled that the Pacers and their oponents will be returning to Conseco.

Black Friday
http://news.yahoo.com/thanksgiving-kicks-off-fight-holiday-sales-035303142.html
There are two topics within the day of Black Friday in which I will be addressing. Is black Friday overpowering Thanksgiving? Also, is Black Friday going to be the same this year? The reasin I bring the idea of Black Friday and Thanksgiving clashing is because I have heard many people say that people are now just takling about the shopping and not caring about the celebration with their families. You see many people waiting Wednesday nights and all day Thursday in order to buy a TV or some other item, and now those people are missing out on the true Holiday of Thanksgiving. The other idea I was to address was the concept of whether or not the big "black Friday" would be remotley the same this year. I bring this idea up because of the economic recession that is taking place in our country today. Knowing that many people have lost their jobs and are now on that very popular tight budget, stores were wondering of their customers would be out shopping till morning like a usual Black Friday.
I think that Black Friday and Thanksgiving are not clashing as bad as many other think. Yes, many people are more concerened on that crtain TV they want, but it is tradition now, because Black Friday will always remain on the same date. I am a Black Friday shopper this year, This was my first year! It was a fun time with friends and I saw huge crowds from 8pm til i left the mall at 9am. I was up and shopping all night and morning and recieved many great deals! Businesses are not suffering that much from the recession this year becasue the sales tempt the customers to a degree where they must come!

Why not keep Manning?
http://blogs.indystar.com/coltsinsider/2011/11/15/more-peyton-manning-andrew-luck-talk-and-is-curtis-painter-who-everyone-thought-he-was/
The brief article above details what "experts" think the Indianapolis Colts need to do for their next upcoming season. Many of the so called "experts" are talking about getting rid of Manning. The popular and most talked about idea for awhile is to draft Luck form Stnaford, pay Manning his 28 Million dollar signing bonus, and then let him walk as a free agent in order for the Colts to get more picks in the upcoming draft. The other popular idea by others is to draft Luck and let the two dominant quarterbacks work together until Manning feels like it is time to retire from the Colts. Luck has given many signs to the press that he will be coming out to the NFL after this year, so he has been being viewed a lot harsher than the norman quarterback lately. If Manning and Luck were to work together, as some experts think they should, they could be creating dominance for years to come.
Does it really make any sense to get rid of Manning, the greatest Colts player of all time, as well as one of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time? Yes, drafting Luck is a superb idea, but throwing Peyton to the curb, that is just rediculous! Manning most likely still has atleast two more years of complete NFL dominance at the Quarterback position, yet "experts" and die hard fans want to trade him for more picks? When Manning does play, we Colts fans expect to go undefeated, or atleast to make the playoffs with ease, and yet without the prestigious quarterback, we can not even win one game. Their have been many rookie busts in the NFL, NBA, and any other professional sports, so why not have the two quarterbacks work together nd eventually let one take over the pthers spotlight. With Mannings hard work to prepare Luck for however many years, Luck will have a better chance to be a NFL great! Throwing Manning to the curb right now, what a dumb idea! If anything, he could be the NFL's MVP this year if you think about it. He obviously is the most important player the Colts have to their franchise, otherwise we may be 1-9.

13 and 14 year old parents....whose got the say?
http://www.indystar.com/article/20111113/LOCAL18/111130370/Ages-13-14-when-son-born-parents-want-different-path-him?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|IndyStar.com
Mother and father Mellissa and Jason Brewster are speaking about how they managed tean-age pregnancy. When Melissa was in seventh grade, and Jason eigth, Melissa knew she was pregnant. With the fact that Melissa was a more mature girl than most other girls, she quickly became more woman-like to have the child. She and Jason were very young, and still "dating" during the pregnancy. They wanted to keep their child, yet their parents were all for adoption. After having Jason jr., Melissa stayed home taking care of him, and child protective services came to this situation. They took Jason, and later gave him back to his grandparents to live his life with them. Jason jr's. mother and father are together now and raising him.
This article really caught my eye because of the age issue. I was wondering, what age is old enough to decide on your own whether or not to have and keep your baby? Melissa and Jason were all for raising their son, yet their parents were not. Their parents ended up taking care of Jason jr. for awhile, and now the family is a happy one! I think the parents did the right thing in taking care of Jason jr. so that there kids can raise their son when they get older.

Birth Control Money Savings in Indiana
http://www.indystar.com/article/20111106/LOCAL/111060354/Did-Indiana-miss-7-million-opportunity-?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|News
Did Indiana miss a 7 million dollar oppurtunity? This is the popular question that many health professionals are asking around the state. Indiana watched and looked at the statistics of 20 other states that applied a healthcare law to their state. All 20 of those states seemed to profit from this healthcare law. The law is that for the poorer wome, especially those of on medicare, should be taking birth control or atleast have the option. This would lower birth defects and the birth rate overall, leading to less babies going to adoption agencies. Indiana noticed after 5 months that no profit was being made after the law was passed, so we eventually realized that this was because the women were not being asked whether or not they wanted it. Since it was a law, many agencies thought that the question would have to just appear automtically on personal fill-out sheets, yet the agencies did not know they had to ask it themselves.
I feel as if this article is very important to know about, especially since it may impact the society in which i live in. I think that the idea of providing the pill to the women is a brilliant plan! Providing it to the less fortunate who still have the right to have sexual relations will definitley save our state a good ammount of money. The defected birth rate would go down derastically and also the adoption agencies would not be over-whelmed with so many children at once. One of the biggest things that would decrease would be the abortion rate! Overall, this law if very beneficial and the medicare agencies need to quickly pertain the question as part of a question and answer session between the individual and the agencies.

Indianapolis Colts 0-8
http://www.thesportsbank.net/nfl/spreading-the-blame-for-the-indianapolis-colts-0-8-start/
This article speaks about the Colt's 0-8 start of the season, which the Colt's have not seen since 1997. The article also talks about the team in general. The more popular offensive linemen, Diem, Lilja, Costanzo, and Glenn were not seen on the field Sunday; therefore the back-ups...yea not many, if any Colt's fans would have been able to pick them out in a crowd, had to play! The QB, Painter, leading rusher for the team, WOW since when does the QB lead the Colt's in rushign yards? And now to the Coach, Caldwell, not even challenging a play that could possibly keep his own team in better contention to win!
Honestly, my opinions and thoughts were still the same even before i read this! I feel as if there are TWO things that the Colt's need to realize! Obviously the coach of the team, Caldwell, can't win with the Colt's when he has to actually coach the team! Yea, he started 14-0 last year, with the name head coach under his belt, but if you really put 2 and 2 together, he was a supervisor who had no say, it was all Mannning! Manning was the head coach last year whether anyone agrees with me or not! He can call any play he wants and will never get yelled at for it! He could even sit down and tell the defensive coordinator plays to call and i feel as if they would go along with what he says! Caldwell needs to be fired so that the Colt's can get a yound, motivated coach, who is a football genious in there to take over for right now so when Peyton gets back next year he doesn't come back empty handed! Also, the Colt's need to start looking ahead in the future, and seriously consider money-mangement to draft Luck in next years round. With Manning aging and with the fact that Manning has already worked with Luck, the Colts need Luck and i think Luck wants the Colts. With Manning and Luck side-by-side, the Colts will have a promising QB when Manning retires!
